Welcome Carter!!

After 10 glorious months, thousands and thousands of calories for Mom and 8 hours of back-breaking labor, little Carter Thomas entered our world. He came at 5:23 on March 13, weighing in at 8lbs even and measuring 20.5 inches long.

Understandably he was traumatized by the birthing process, but later settled in nicely to a cozy blanket and Mom's arms.

Carter was lucky to have a band of cheerleaders waiting to meet him in the hospital waiting room. Grandma and Grandpa Cage drove in from Southlake and Nana Ivory, Uncle Billy, and Auntie Jenn came in from Charlotte to greet him. Dad shared the great news about Carter's arrival with them and even gave them souvenir koozies to take with them.

Carter enjoyed his first days in the hospital and was spoiled by all the hugs and love from the family. On Sunday, he made his trip home. The ride was a little bumpy, but Carter slept the whole way and was happy to see a stork welcoming him to his new home!

Since his arrival, Carter has spent the last 2 weeks getting used to his new surroundings. He met his crazy sister Penny Lane, has become accustomed to being held by adoring friends and family, and is getting used to sleeping in his little moses basket.

We feel very lucky to have him in our family and are crazy about this new little guy!
